Laurance Garvie of Perthshire Johanna Sutherland of Caithness
Laurance Garvie (1845-1918) and Johanna Sutherland (1843-1928) arrived in Knysna, South Africa in the early 1880s. From Knysna they moved to Kimberley and eventually settled in Johannesburg before the turn of the Century.
